"Yes I'm a Mom and No my Life isn't Over Yet"

This statement is what many good moms have had to tell themselves when feeling pressured by the demands of society acceptance. Its true that after you become a mom, your priorities change and your children should always come first but there is no such thing as a perfect stay at home mommy wife. Besides not every woman is blessed to have a father for their children who is around and helps provide for the children.

Some single mothers are faced with the demands of society, providing for their children financially and emotionally, and struggling to find themselves so that they can find happiness. Other mothers are still married but life is even more difficult because they live life as a single mother providing for their children because the husband refuses to lift a finger to help raise or provide for his own children but rather makes unrealistic demands. The fact that this type of mother should leave the husband is another issue that not many people understand because we have been conditioned to judge and blame the women for putting up with injustice from certain circumstances.

In some countries such as South Korea, single moms are looked down upon and some are even forced to give up their babies for adoption for fear of what society might think of them. This is far from how families live in America since they have accepted the rapid growth of single parent families. What hasn't changed yet is the perception of women as mothers and what needs to be done to fulfill society acceptance. We tend to forget that being a mother is a part of a woman but not what defines a woman as a person. Mothers are human too and they have dreams to fulfill, places to go, and careers to be advanced. In other words, Mothers just like any other person, want to be successful and being a mother should not stop anyone from pursuing their dreams.

Women as mothers shouldn't be looked down upon for wanting to have certain careers such as music, singing, poetry, business, or even rapping. It is believed that the heart of the family and what keeps it strong is a woman then wouldn't it make sense to keep the heart (woman) happy to keep the family strong. Woman can do it all and they can still raise their children successfully as long as their is a strategy plan that will benefit the whole family. If mom is happy and successful, the children will be happier..Trust me!!!
